Caustic Christ "can't relate" LP [Havoc Records]
Caustic Christ features ex-members of bands such as Aus Rotten, the Pist, React and Broken and this is their first full length. The result is one of the most unique "sounds" in current hardcore because they mix the bass heavy drive of Swedish crust with the high octane thrash of American Fast Core. The lyrics and music sound so aggressive and pissed off the speakers can barely contain the rage. Lyrically the straightforward agitprop of Aus Rotten has been replaced by a more bleak form of social commentary based on a desperate alienation. But critics who think Caustic Christ have distanced themselves from political statements should read the lyrics to Satisfied Means Pacified and other tracks on this LP. The cover artwork is by Tommy Gun who also did the 7" and shirt artwork. |

Contravene "a call to action" LP - european pressing [Skuld Releases - Germany]
OK - this is the European pressing of the "a call to action" LP that came out on Tribal War records. This album takes Contravene's previous straight forward anarchopunk style from their 7"s and adds a melodic metal sound to it that draws influences from bands like Sacrilege, Nausea and the like. Alternating female and male vocalists putting forth political lyrics covering issues such as the sexual exploitation of women, police brutality, the true history of marriage, and more. You even get a One by One cover as well. Comes with a booklet filled with lyrics and song explanations. This European pressing also features a slightly different layout for the cover and includes 2 live bonus tracks from the first show of Contravene's European tour that they did in 2002. |

Counterblast "balance of pain" LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
This is perhaps one of the most haunting and pulverising records to come out ever since the Amebix "monolith" LP, and that says a lot. Counterblast are from Sweden and play a style of music that mixes elements of crust and metal and ties it together with eerie tribal beats and creepy haunting samples to create one brilliant LP. |

Counterblast "impassivity" 2 X LP [Putrid Filth Conspiracy - Sweden]
The first new release from the almighty Counterblast in several years. Monumental crust from Sweden with a very unique style that blends elements of crust, metal and somewhat ambient, eerie and tribal sounding music together. You can hear some influences from other bands such as Dystopia and Neurosis in parts, but Counterblast is something truly unique that must be experienced to understand how amazing this is. The 2 X LP version includes some of their out of print and hard to find comp tracks on the D side of the record as bonus tracks too! |

Crude B.E. - Radio Schizo split LP [Merciless Records - Germany]
A crazy pairing of two bands from Germany that play completely different styles of music on this LP. Crude B.E. are straight brutality. Pissed crust/grind with female/male vocals that absolutely pulverises you and has great production on it. Radio Schizo play pretty straight forward German punk rock with some cool melody to their sound. Their side of the lyrics sheet is absolutely insane looking and practically impossible to read but looks cool none the less. |

Detestation s/t LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
the only full length ever released by this Portland based anarchopunk band featuring former members of Deprived, Resist, Defiance, etc. This takes their previous Swedish punk sound from their 7"s and adds even more solid musicianship to it, topped off by the strong female vocals that give this a totally intense sound. 12 songs covering topics such as religion, sell out punk bands that reform to cash in on the "punk" trend, the hypocracy within the punk scene and much more. *TEMP. Dirt "black and white" 2 X LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
I don't really think that Dirt needs much of an introduction. Essential and classic political anarchopunk from the U.K. with female/male vocals that started around the same time as CRASS. The 2 X LP contains all their out of print material from the "Object, Refused, Reject, Abuse" 7", "Never Mind DIRT Here's The Bollocks" 12", "Just An Error" Lp, their never released 2nd 7" & their demo. Comes packaged in a gatefold cover with lyrics and information about the history of Dirt written by members of the band as well as complete discography information. A must have! |

Dona Maldad "...Y EL ESTADO HIPOCRITA CONTINŮA ASESINANDO" LP [Alerta Antifascista - Germany]
13 songs of catchy, sing along, fist in the air punk from Venezuela. Brings to mind the sound of some of the early Defiance material mixed with that awesome South American style punk that just kicks ass. Very political lyrics, sung in Spanish, that will have you out of your chair and taking to the streets! |

Dropdead s/t LP (1998) [Armageddon Label]
A classic piece of wax originally released in 1998 by these legendary thrash-masters. 18 songs in a decidedly more Swedish HC vein than their earlier releases, but with the usual odd breaks and fast parts throughout. More melodic than the first LP in some ways, and noisier in others. Side one of the LP plays from the inside/matrix/center label part of the record to the outside. |

Dropdead s/t LP (1993) [Armageddon Label]
Originally released in 1993 on Selfless Recs, this 34 song album was re-released on blue wax with updated artwork and lyrics. Influenced by the old Japanese, European, and some US hardcore. An extreme mix of fast and mid-paced parts with angry vocals and personal/political lyrics. This is one of those LP's that everyone should have in their record collection.
