Fear is the Path of the Dark Side "only the dead have seen the end of war" LP [Scorched Earth Policy - Germany]
OK, any record that starts with a scary sounding symphony should be apocalyptic sounding and this record does just that! Down tuned, dark and brutal shit. Brings to mind bands like Suicide Nation, Unruh, etc. If there were ever a sound track for the end of the world, this would most likely be it. |

Fleas and Lice - Bleeding Rectum split LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
Fleas and Lice are ex-members of Mushroom Attack from Holland and play a lot along the same lines as Mushroom Attack did but with more of a crustier sound and none of the melodic clean parts that Mushroom Attack had. They still have the alternating female/male vocals and the great political lyrics. Bleeding Rectum are from Northern Ireland and are raw punk with very strong political lyrics. |

Fleas and Lice "global destruction" LP [Skuld Relesaes - Germany]

After a few years of silence Fleas and Lice came back with a great new LP featuring 12 songs of pure anarcho crusty rage with female/male vocals and lyrics attacking the everyday state of our lives on this planet. The music has gotten a bit more aggressive than the past releases it seems too. *TEMP. OUT OF STOCK* |

NEW!
From Ashes Rise/Victims split LP [Havoc Records]
From Ashes Rise plays dark, slightly metallic hardcore that is not unlike early His Hero Is Gone mixed with Scandinavian hardcore like Skitystem and 80's UK crust like Antisect. Drawing on those influences From Ashes Rise has moved this sound into it's own territory so to simply label it "Tennessee style" hardcore would be oversimplifying their sonic progression. From Ashes Rise recorded at Polymorph in the Bay Area and the production is intense and flawless. Victims are from Sweden and play aggressive, fast Scandinavian hardcore not unlike early Skitsystem or Wolfbrigade. You can hear the influence of early Swedish hardcore like Anti-Cimex, Shitlickers and Crude SS mixed with the heavier sounds of 90's crust core. The cover artwork is a new piece from Pushead and is amazing as always. Every single detail of this record is simply amazing. |

Garmonbozia s/t LP [Profane Existence]
Garmonbozia was a band that we got the pleasure of playing with during Contravene's last tour and we were just blown away by how amazing they were. Haunting crust from Minneapolis with female vocals and cello, with music that varies from quiet and intricate melodies to full-on raging thrash parts. Something like if Monuments to Ruins teamed up with Remains of the Day... |

Hibernation "into the silence of eternal sorrow" LP [Skuld Releases/Power It Up - Germany]
10 songs of metal influenced punk from this 3 piece from Greece. In a lot of ways this sounds like a more metallic Homomilitia, minus the female vocals. Inner Conflict s/t LP [Twisted Chords - Germany]
melodic German anarchopunk with alternating female and male vocalists. Brings to mind a mix of Mankind? and A.P.P.L.E. with some really impacting breakdowns. Inner Terrestrials "escape from New Cross" LP [Maloka - France]
A great live recording recorded in New Cross, London in 1997. As stated above, Inner Terrestrials play a very refreshing style of music that mixes the early 80's style anarchopunk with dub/reggae music and political lyrics to create a very cool sound. |

Iskra s/t LP [Profane Existence]
from the ashes of Black Kronstad rises Iskra. Musically this is the most extreme, brutality ever to be released on Profane Existence - some have even gone as far as to call it "black metal", but I wouldn't really call it that. You can tell that these guys probably listen to or have been musically influenced by a fair share of black metal, but this still sounds like really aggressive, metallic crust to me. Just as Black Kronstadt did, Iskra has amazingly outspoken anarchist lyrics that are simply amazing! If you like brutal music with something to say then this is definately for you! |

 |
Jeniger s/t LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
This is Jeniger's first full length and it is simply amazing. Dark, heavy and skull shattering hardcore punk that brings to mind bands like From Ashes Rise and His Hero Is Gone but with one key difference - brutal as hell female vocals! Full of despair and intensity this is an album that should not be overlooked by anyone. *TEMP. OUT OF STOCK* |
