Paragraf 119 "stotteplade for Anarchist Black Cross" LP [Alerta Antifascista - Germany]
One of the most amazing bands that I have heard in ages! This was Paragraf 119's first LP release, featuring 10 songs of pissed off, political anarchopunk from Denmark with dual female/male vocals. Comes packaged in a HUGE Crass style fold out poster sleeve that features some amazing artwork done by one of the members of the band. This record, as well as their LP released after this one, is a benefit for the Anarchist Black Cross. |

Parental Advisory/ Reltih split LP [Collective Release - Brazil]
Parental Advisory is an anarchist atheist band from Brazil that lets loose a full onslaught of crust/grind insanity on their side. Pure speed and power with alternating vocalists in a style that reminds me a bit of Monster X with more complex song structures. Amazing! Reltih are from Portugal and play a really chaotic style of grinding crust with alternating vocalists and some guest vocals from members of the band Simbiose as well! This record includes a small booklet with lyrics and info from both of the bands as well. |

Petrograd "nine one one" LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
Petrograd are from Luxembourg and have released a whole mess of records. This LP is their 3rd full length to date and possibly their best material yet. 11 songs of pure melodic and emotional anarchopunk with great female/male vocal work and a pop-ish element to it. Some of their previous releases have reminded me some of Chumbawamba's earlier material and this one still has that feel but their sound seems to have developed and matured into something so much more amazing than before. Comes with a 32 page booklet with lyrics, writings and other information all written in English and Spanish. |

Ripcord "discography part 1 - the damage is done/defiance of power" LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
After being out of print for nearly 15 years these tracks have finally been reissued onto vinyl! No doubt about it that Ripcord helped to define a sound that has been pillaged by tons of bands since them. Along with bands like Heresy, Doom, and Extreme Noise Terror they defined what raw thrash was in the mid to late 80's. This LP features their tracks from their self produced 7" flexi that was titled "the damage is done" and their "defiance of power" LP that was released by Manic Ears. Comes packaged in a nice gatefold cover with lyrics and some history about the band. |

Ripcord "discography part 2 - harvest hardcore/poetic justice" LP [Skuld Releases - Germany]
More classic thrash/hardcore that has been out of print for a very long time. This LP features their "harvest hardcore" 7" (of which only 1,000 copies were ever pressed and VERY poory distributed so these tracks have been extremely hard to get a hold of until now!) and their "poetic justice" LP. |

Sea of Deprivation "catharsis in disharmony" LP [Catchphraze Records]
the debut release from this Arizona 3 piece featuring members of Misanthropic. Lots of crossover in musical styles but this definitely leans towards the metal end of things, drawing influences from bands such as Carcass, ABC Diabolo, Assuck and Dystopia. Lyrics are both personal and political in a brutally honest way. This record never lets up for a second! |

the System were another band that was around in the early 80's during the insurgence of the european d.i.y punk scene. this LP was actually recorded back in the 80's, after releasing their "the warfare" EP and "the system is murder" EP, and never managed to see the light of day until recently. This LP is sheer brilliance, total Flux of Pink Indians style peace punk that is just awesome! comes packaged with lyrics, artwork, and some info about the band. if you liked any of the early Crass Records peace punk bands then you will definately not want to miss this! *TEMP. Victims/From Ashes Rise split LP [Havoc Records]
Victims are from Sweden and play aggressive, fast Scandinavian hardcore not unlike early Skitsystem or Wolfbrigade. You can hear the influence of early Swedish hardcore like Anti-Cimex, Shitlickers and Crude SS mixed with the heavier sounds of 90's crust core. From Ashes Rise plays dark, slightly metallic hardcore that is not unlike early His Hero Is Gone mixed with Scandinavian hardcore like Skitystem and 80's UK crust like Antisect. Drawing on those influences From Ashes Rise has moved this sound into it's own territory so to simply label it "Tennessee style" hardcore would be oversimplifying their sonic progression. From Ashes Rise recorded at Polymorph in the Bay Area and the production is intense and flawless. The cover artwork is a new piece from Pushead and is amazing as always. Every single detail of this record is simply amazing. |

Visions of War/Ohlo de Gato split LP [Angry Records - Italy]
Visions of War, from Belgium, play very brutal crusty hardcore. Very powerful. Somewhat Doom/ENT sounding with the raw production and harsh/growling trade-off vocals backed up by a wall of crushing noise. Olho De Gato's members are found in various countries but their contact is set to Holland, and I believe that some of the members of this band also used to play in theband Boycot as well so...Olho De Gato leave very little room for messing around. From the very start 'til the end they're busting out their energetic hardcore. This is more straight up than Visions of War on the other side though and has hints of thrash, or fastcore, or whatever you wanna call it. They're faster and have some more hooks...make sense?
There's not much more to say really, it's just damn good. |

Witchhunt "as priorities decay" LP [Profane Existence]
Twelve raging new tracks of pissed off, powerful and politically inspired punk rock / crust with female and male vocals. I've heard Witchhunt be compared to bands like Behind Enemy Lines, Lost World, Contravene and Harum Scarum but I think Witchhunt definately has their own unique style/sound that makes them stand out as an amazing band. The vinyl version comes with a huge 2-sided poster insert (36 x 24") and the first 1000 LPs are on clear vinyl. |

Ya Basta "lucha y fiesta" LP [Twisted Chords - Germany]
an 8 piece traditional ska band from France with very dedicated political beliefs. Musically they play a style that is similar to the older traditional ska bands (not like the modern day "ska-punk" garbage you hear everywhere now) and do it very well. Politically the members of this band are involved with R.A.S.H. and S.H.A.R.P. groups and, obviously, take their politics very seriously but still know how to party and have fun just as seriously! |
