| Another Oppressive System/Human Waste split 7" [Profane Existence] AOS deliver a full on crusty assault in a style akin to bands like Disrupt and State of Fear with totally pulverizing dual male/female vocalists...more info goes here. |
| Antichrist "damned those who prefer bitterness..." 7" [Dissonant Sound Industries] Fast and brutal as all hell hardcore with a metal influence from Poland. Totally strong vocals backed by music that draws influence from bands such as ABC Diabolo, Rorschach, and others in this vein. Political lyrics all done in Polish with song explanations provided in English. |
| Autonomia/Antitese Social split 7" [Collective Release - Worldwide] Two great anarchopunk bands, Peru's AUTONOMIA and Brazil's ANTITESE SOCIAL, team up to create one awesome split 7". Released as a collective effort among 9 different labels from around the word in an effort to strengthen the worldwide political punk movement. |
| Blight s/t 7" [Aborted Society/Barrage of Salt] the debut 7" by this 4 piece from Washington that lays down some grinding hardcore crust music with political lyrics. |
| Born Dead Icons "unlearn" 7" [Heartfirst Records - Germany] Dark and eerie hardcore punk from Canada with equally dark lyrics to match the music. The tracks for this 7" were recorded at the same time as the "ruins" LP and they seem to have thrown all of the fast songs on to this 7". |
| Brother Inferior/N.O.T.A. split 7" [Havoc Records] 2 punk bands from Tulsa paired up on this classic release. This is some of the best Brother Inferior stuff in my opinion, a lot like the stuff on their "anthems..." LP, having a sound akin to the early Defiance releases with lyrics that are extremely well stated backed up by totally catchy music that gets stuck in your head VERY easily. NOTA were a powerful hardcore punk band that was around in the 80's that released some classic records. They got back together for a while and recorded a few new songs, including these tracks here, and have since broke up again. |
| Burned Up Bled Dry "cloned slaves for slaves" 7" [Dissonant Sound Industries] Originally released on Slap A Ham Records back in 1998 and now repressed again! It's amazing how much this band advanced in just one year's time because the sound on this release is absolutely monstrous. Brutal as all hell crust/grind with powerful growling vocals akin to the His Hero Is Gone style of vocals. The lyrics are still gloomy and apocalyptic as ever and you even get a Black Flag cover song on this one! |
| Burned Up Bled Dry "kill the body, kill the soul" 7" [Dissonant Sound Industries] This was the first 7" release by this band from Ft. Smith, Arkansas and was originally released back in 1997! It has now been repressed again here so you can once again get your ass kicked by these 11 songs of fast grinding hardcore with powerful vocals spitting out dark and gloomy political lyrics. |
| Caustic Christ "government jobs" 7" [Havoc Records] While much of the hardcore scene is based on the energy and anger of the youth, there's something to be said for a band made up of bitter old guys. Years of experience and a complete lack of youthful idealism leave you with some truly raw, powerful, aggressive, no frills hardcore punk rock. Caustic Christ on this release take a "less is more" approach by stripping away the frivolity of fashion and getting down to the brass tacks. Here are five tracks of pure hc punk animosity coming at you full speed that will hit you like a ton of bricks! |
| Code 13 "they made a wasteland..." 7" [Havoc Records] Code 13's second 7", released shortly after their debut "Doomed Society" EP. This EP addresses a lot of issues that were, and still are, creating problems within the punk/hardcore underground. This record was released when the hardcore scene experienced a massive explosion of popularity and renewed interest as well as an assault of commercialism and regressive attitudes. The result was a record that put the larger political issues to a back seat to confronting poseurs, sell-outs and religious extremists trying to corrupt the true spirit of hardcore. Musically very similar to the first 7" - fast paced straight ahead hardcore with a variety of influences. |
| Code 13 "part of america died today" 7" [Havoc Records] After several years, and several tour, Code 13 drops another 7". After having to do some line up shuffling they put together a solid line up that marked their most powerful, and most eclectic style yet. This one still has that classic Code 13 style but you can see other influences in this one as well. |
| Code 13/D.S. 13 split 7" [Havoc Records] This would serve as Code 13's final release and I can't think of any band better to pair them with for a split 7" than D.S. 13. This 7" features 13 songs of fast hardcore action from Sweden and Minnesota. Each band does six and one half songs of fast paced 80's influenced hardcore. |
| NEW! Contravene s/t 7" [Feast of Freedom Records] A repressing of Contravene's debut s/t 7". 3 songs of catchy and political anarchopunk with female and male vocals covering topics such as immigration, solidarity and more. Includes a trifold cover complete with lyrics and explanations to the songs. 800 copies on clear vinyl and 200 on red. |
| Contravene/Uprising split 7" [Catchphraze Records/Incendiary Sound Records] This one came about as a result of Contravene's U.S. tour last summer. After playing in Detroit with Uprising the idea was put out to release a split between the two bands and this is the result. Contravene gives one long song about the oil industry and Uprising gives 2 songs of their blistering political anarchopunk on their side. first 200 copies on limited edition red vinyl! click here for more info on this release (sound files, # pressed, track listing, etc.) |
| NEW! Depression/Fleshripper split 7" With band names like Flesh Ripper and Depression it shouldn't be too hard to figure out that these guys play brutal grindcore that can tear your face off. |
| Dios Hastio/Septicemia split 7" [Vicious Interference Records] Dios Hastio are back with 5 new songs of their brand of raging Peruvian thrash to pulverise your brain. Septicemia are from Brazil and drop 3 songs on their side playing fast, aggressive hardcore punk with lyrics covering issues such as sexism, body image and more. |
| Disrespect "justice in a bag" 7" [Profane Existence] Four brand new tracks from Minneapolis' pervayers of the classic, pissed-off punk rock sound. Unlike their much rougher debut EP, these new songs were written to highlight the differences betwen the three vocalists. All the lyrics are bitingly angry commentaries about the current social and political situation in which we are forced to exist. Musically this falls somewhere between One Way System, Discharge, Conflict, and Civilised Society. |
| NEW! Grito de Odio s/t 7" [Bring the Fire/Desobediencia Records] political punk/hardcore from Brazil. |
| Highscore/the Now Denial split 7" [Repulsive Force Records - Japan] This split is vol. 2 in a 7" series called "hope vs. dillusion" that is being put out to benefit victims of the European Union's so called "justice system". This one features 2 bands from Germany. On one side you get the Now Denial, throwing down with 3 songs of energetic hardcore punk with political lyrics, kinda like a crustier version of Brother Inferior! the flip side features Highscore who give us 6 songs of chaotic, in your face hardcore with political and personal lyrics, all with explinations. The 7" comes packaged with info on the benefit of the record as well. |
| NEW! His Iro is Gone "hope for sale" 7" [Collective Release - Worldwide] Not to be confused with His HERO is Gone, this now defunct German HC/crust band released this record before it's demise. members have since gone on to form bands such as Kobayashi, WWK, 6000 Crazy, and many other great bands. |
| Human Waste "i skuggan av erat sverige" 7" [Contempt Records/New Noise Records/No Future Records - Sweden] Swedish hardcore crust with strong vocal work that really pushes the music's intensity. At times this has a Skit System feel to it which is just awesome. One of the tracks on here is a hip hop song which really took me by surprise coming from a band that plays such pulverizing music. |
| Human Waste "lagar ar till for att brytas" 7" [Contempt Records/New Noise Records - Sweden] Swedish hardcore crust with multiple vocalists and lots of intensity. At points this brings to mind Skit System and other classic Swedish crust bands, especially with the way that the vocals are structured with the music. Some of the lyrics are done in Swedish and some in English, all covering political issues such as freedom of speech, the death penalty, depression and more. |
| Human Waste/Another Oppressive System split 7" [Profane Existence] AOS deliver a full on crusty assault in a style akin to bands like Disrupt and State of Fear with totally pulverizing dual male/female vocalists...more info goes here. |
