Masskontroll were a brutal thrash band that was heavily influenced by mid-80's Swedish and Japanese thrash hardcore. The Avskum, Anti-Cimex, Crude SS, No Security, Swedish "dis" sound is unmistakable. Totally heavy riffs and crushing power with lyrics that took on serious political issues and confronted apathy in the punk scene. |

M.D.C. "john wayne was a nazi" 7" [Twisted Chords - Germany]
OK, when this was originally released back in 1981 the band's name at the time was the Stains but they changed their name to MDC shortly there after and continued to play these songs, two of which appeared on their first LP, so its getting filed under MDC. This is classic 80's U.S. punk that kicks ass. Probably their hardest to find material now repressed after over 20 years! |

Migra Violenta/Kontraattaque split 7" [Subversive Rhymes/Desobediencia Records]
The newest and, sadly, final 7" release by Kontraattaque that follows in the same workings as their releases, a vehicle for social change - fighting out against the hatred in our world. The music is a full fledged attack, crust, thash, grind...you can call it what you like but it is truly inspirational and moving. all lyrics are in Spanish and they provide English trasnlations as well as explinations to all of the songs. Migra Violenta are a full on attack of political hc thrash from Argentina with a huge amount of intensity. At point this reminds me of Los Crudos, especially the vocal work. Comes packaged with really nice hand screened covers too! |

Pieklo Kobiet/Pussyface split 7" [Malarie Records - Czech Republic]
Pieklo Kobiet always blows me away and this release is no exception. Fucking brutal metallic crust with powerful, gut-wrenching female vocals from Poland. Their side features 2 songs about fighting back against the stereotypical roles that females are forced into and about macho attitudes. They provide their lyrics in both Polish and English. Pussyface are from Italy and are part of the Riot Grrrl Movement. Musically they play a more punked up/raw riot grrrl style. Lyrically it's kinda weird. 2 of their songs are well thought out statements about being pro-choice and religious/state control of women. The other 2 songs seem to be monuments to sexuality with some really weird lines in them like "proud porno queen - nothing can stop me" and other things along these lines. Some of it might be language translation but some of the lines just come off a little strange to me. The record also includes a small booklet with information on the principles and purpose behind the Riot Grrrl Movement. |

NEW! Protestera/Apatia No split 7" [Skuld Releases/Noseke Records - Germany]
This is one of those 'dream come true' type of records. Pairing up 2 highly political anarchopunk bands like Apatia No and Protestera is nothing short of brilliant. Apatia No have been going at it for some time now and this is some of the best material that they have ever released. Dual vocals over great South American style aggressive anarchist punk music with very political lyrics. Great stuff. Protestera are from Sweden and have been raging for a while too. After releasing one of the most inspiring LP's I've ever heard they follwed it up with a great 7" release and now this split. They too just seem to keep getting better and better with each release. Amazing! |

Female/Male vocals belting out extremely well thought out political lyrics over amazing music. This record is dedicated to all the struggling women all over the world, unite and fight! |
